Bombay Bicycle Club website analysis
The Bombay Bicycle Club website is very much different from the previously analysed RatBoy website with a much more simple and professional approach although still being stylish and appealing to the indie genre in terms of it's colours and patters.
This is the homepage for when you enter the band's website. There is a consistent design throughout, including the artwork from the band's most recent album. The page may seem bare as the band are no longer together anymore but there would usually be news and other information filling the page.
Additionally, there are social media links throughout the website as well as links to other platforms that the band exists on like Spotify and Vevo. This is another way to promote the band and allow the audience to listen to their music in a wider range of ways, making it more accessible to reach more people easier.
The range of buttons along the top helps the audience to easily navigate across the site to each desired location. Complementary to this, the buttons always stay in the same place on each page to help any viewer to find any page at any time.
The band have also included the option to sign up to their mailing list, meaning that they're able to contact fans with exclusive news, such as a new album or new tour dates. This will mean that the fans can hear it first and allow the band to get sales as fast as possible.
The 'Video' page showcases the band's previous productions in terms of music videos, allowing fans to match a face and personality to the music. I believe this allows for the band and fans to connect on a more personal level as they are being given something more than just the music; there is a story attached in the videos as an additional meaning of entertainment, predominantly free.
