Band logo!

In order to make a logo for our band, we needed a name. The name we decided to settle on was 'Mantis'. Yes, as in the green little insect. The ninja-like creature had some strong connotations of what an indie-rock band may come off as. From this we were manage to produce the following logo...

We thought that using an insect for a close up image to aim for a very clear idea of the style of an indie-rock band in terms of their peculiarity and expressive nature. Additionally, the colour scheme of the photo and font with bright and contrasting colours presents a psychedelic message to the viewer, helping to give the idea of the band being different and, in a way, funky.
